The tricky part:
NBCUniversal wanted to expand their licensing portfolio and attract a more fashion-conscious audience. The goal was to reimagine brands like Minions, Trolls, Jurassic Park, and E.T. in a way that appealed to trend-savvy shoppers, not just kids or superfans.
The way forward:
I created trend-driven designs that showcased how these brands could partner with aspirational licensees. From pitch decks to style guides, each was crafted with bespoke graphics, pared-back visuals, and even hand-drawn typography, balancing the brands’ playful roots with a more sophisticated edge. The designs demonstrated how these iconic franchises could seamlessly fit into high-street and even high-end fashion collaborations.
The final outcome:
The standout moment? E.T.’s debut in licensed merchandise with & Other Stories, their first-ever licensed product range. This collaboration not only opened the door to new audiences but also redefined what licensed products could look like, setting a new standard for future partnerships.
