The tricky part:
Dolphin Labs wanted to stand out in the crowded world of cybersecurity. They needed a brand that spoke to both corporate professionals and tech enthusiasts while staying true to their community-driven and ethical values.
The way forward:
This was a freelance project my design partner and I worked on. We began by running workshops to identify the company’s core values, value prop and mission statement to ensure the visual branding authentically reflected Dolphin Labs’ purpose. The dolphin, symbolising intelligence and collaboration, became the star of the brand. We brought it to life with a visual identity that paired marine-inspired colours with digital tones, bridging human connection and technology. Gradients and circular motifs added layers of meaning around detecting hidden threats, while a lighter, approachable colour palette challenged the typical “dark and serious” cybersecurity aesthetic.
The final outcome:
The new branding resonated with both corporate and tech-savvy audiences, positioning Dolphin Labs as a trustworthy and forward-thinking name in cybersecurity. It caught attention at industry events and set the stage for their next chapter.
